The PhD in English is designed to be a five-year program requiring 30 hours of coursework. Students select and work closely with a faculty advisory committee to plan a course of professional study and training in their chosen primary and secondary fields. Our PhD Program is full-time only. We do not offer a part-time course of study. The average completion time is five to six years. All applicants must use the online application technology.
